Determine Decimal
Each digit is multiplied by its positional power of the source base and the results are added.
Formula: Decimal value = Ξ£(digit Γ base^position)
Apply the factor to the original quantity and keep the source and result units visible. Reversing the factor is the most common conversion mistake.
Example: compare the result for 1 source unit with the factor shown in the formula. If the direction is correct, the converted unit should match the calculator label.
